Pinguicula gigantea red is a striking tropical butterwort that develops deep red and brownish hues when exposed to intense light, ultimately reaching 6-8" with proper cultivation. Each specimen arrives approximately 1" in diameter and is shipped bare root in protective plastic containers on Mondays and Wednesdays to ensure optimal transit conditions. Plants are cultivated under LED lighting with daytime temperatures of 75-80°F and nighttime lows of 55-70°F. Color intensity varies among individual plants—some arrive greener but will transition to vibrant pink and red tones under bright conditions. A heating pack is strongly recommended during winter months to prevent temperature stress during shipping and establishment.
